MySide Bedding and the Scandinavian Sleep Method: A Better Way to Sleep Together

Meet the founders

Meet Jack & Heather

At the heart of MySide Bedding is a simple but powerful belief: better sleep leads to better relationships—and better lives. Founders Heather and Jack created MySide not just to sell bedding, but to solve a very real problem they experienced firsthand as a couple.

Rooted in community, purpose, and well-being, their mission is about more than comfort—it’s about connection. We sat down with Heather and Jack to talk about how their original split bedding design came first, and how the Scandinavian Sleep Method later gave language and validation to what they had already created—a solution built around real couples, real frustrations, and the idea that sleep isn’t one-size-fits-all.

Q: Your idea came before you even knew about the Scandinavian Sleep Method—what sparked it, and how did you later see the connection?

Jack & Heather: Our idea really started with frustration—tangled sheets, cover stealing, and nightly temperature wars. We wanted a way to share a bed but still feel comfortable as individuals. So we began sketching and experimenting until we created a split bedding design that worked for us.

It wasn’t until later that we discovered the Scandinavian Sleep Method, and it felt like validation. Their approach of using two comforters on one bed echoed what we had already learned firsthand: couples don’t have to compromise to sleep well together. The difference is, we wanted something that not only solved the problem but also looked and felt beautiful. That’s how MySide was born.

“We believe that sleep should bring people together, not pull them apart.”– Heather, Co-Founder

Q: Why do you think the Scandinavian Sleep Method is gaining momentum in the U.S.?

Jack & Heather: Sleep is becoming more personal—and more important. People are finally realizing that sharing a bed doesn’t have to mean compromising your comfort. For us, it’s encouraging to see more awareness around the Scandinavian Sleep Method, because it’s helping couples understand what we knew from the beginning: you can sleep your way and still stay connected. It’s not about sleeping apart. It’s about sleeping better, your way—together.

Q: What makes your bedding different from just using two twin comforters?

Jack & Heather: We patented our design because we saw a gap in the market. Twin comforters aren’t made to fit a shared bed properly—they shift, they gap, and they’re not very attractive.

Our split bedding isn’t just a copy of the Scandinavian Sleep Method—it’s a reimagined version built for modern couples. Our split sheet sets, split comforters, and split blankets are made with intention: the right dimensions, the right overlap, and premium materials that look and feel like a complete sleep experience.

Q: How does this align with your brand values?

Jack & Heather:

  • Community is at the center—we want couples to feel more connected through better sleep.
  • We’re purpose-driven—we’re not just selling bedding, we’re helping people live more rested, fulfilling lives.
  • We aim to be informative, providing real insights into sleep, relationships, and comfort.
  • And we’re working toward a comprehensive offering—because we know that great sleep is about more than a single product. It’s about building a whole environment that works for you.

Q: What would you say to someone nervous to try the Scandinavian Sleep Method?

Jack & Heather: Try it for a weekend. Keep an open mind. Whether you come to it through our bedding or through the Scandinavian Sleep Method, you’ll quickly see how something so small can make such a big difference in how you feel, how you sleep, and how you connect with your partner.

“Good sleep isn’t a luxury—it’s the foundation for a better life. And when you get it right, everything else starts to feel easier.” – Jack, Co-Founder
